Photo: The Dawn NewsFrom March 4 to 9, in the context of the homages to Commander Chávez on the fourth anniversary of his passing, the city of Caracas held the International Meeting of Peoples’ Movements, which was attended by more than 30 delegates of people’s organizations from around the world.
The main goal was: for people’s movements and organizations of the world to organize an International Assembly of People’s Movements and Organizations, to be held in November in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The heads of State and Government of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of Our America – Peoples’ Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP), gather in Caracas, four years after we bid farewell to Commander Hugo Chavez Frias, and four months after the passing of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, the founders of our organization, whose examples and ideals interpret and summarize the legacy of the liberators.

I write to you as a Venezuelan citizen and in my capacity as Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, on the occasion to reply to the issuance of sanctions against me by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) last Tuesday, February 13th.
The Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow published a statement on the situation in Venezuela:
The situation in Venezuela remains tense. The radical wing of the anti-government camp, which took control of the national parliament, has toughened its aggressive rhetoric and has set a course for “civil disobedience.” Preparations are underway for demonstrations, due in the coming days, that are fraught with – or have been deliberately orchestrated in advance to involve – clashes with law enforcement bodies and provocations leading to violence and casualties.

Foto: AVNA Venezuelan policeman died after being shot during an opposition protest late Wednesday in the province of Miranda, Minister of the Interior and Justice Nestor Reverol said, adding there were two other officers injured. »The officer killed is Jose Alejandro Molina Ramirez who was shot in the abdomen and arm.« Reverol stated that the officer was shot after the police tried to disperse an opposition march to preserve public order on the Panamerican highway in San Antonio de los Altos, adding that two suspects were in custody. »There are two people detained for questioning, and an order will be issued to begin investigations to clarify this murder«, said Reverol.

The Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement, gathered in the Island of Margarita, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, within the framework of the XVII Conference Summit, on 17-18 September 2016, under the theme “Peace, Sovereignty and Solidarity for Development”, undertook a review of the state of the international situation.
In all forms, the action of the Brazilian government of interim president and usurper Michel Temer, led by the Foreign Minister, José Serra, (PSDB), about the pro tempore presidency of Mercosur, is quite a scandalous one.
Along with the partners Mauricio Macri and Horacio Cartes, respectively mandatories of right-wing governments of Argentina and Paraguay, the interim government of Brazilian is leading one of the most shameful episodes of Brazilian foreign policy since its foundations by Jose Maria da Silva Paranhos Junior, the Baron of Rio Branco.
The sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela undertook a difficult but victorious diplomatic battle against the interventionist plans of imperialism and oligarchies, in the Extraordinary Session of the Organization of American States (OAS) Permanent Council, held Wednesday, June 1.
The nation was able to reassert the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of states, and the right of these to choose their own political, economic, and social systems, without external interference, as established in the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace, signed by heads of state and government during the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States Summit, held in Havana in January of 2014.
From 03 to 08 June, Caracas will be hosting the first international preparatory meeting (IPM) of the 19th world festival of youth and students (19 WFYS) to be held in Russia in 2017.
This important youth party will be a tribute of the World Federation of Democratic Youth WFDY the centenary of the triumph of the October revolution. In addition, this opportunity will coincide with the 70 years of the first festival held in Prague (1947).
