venezuela escudoVenezuelan foreign Minister Delcy Rodriguez rejected today the interventionist statements of the German head of Government Angela Merkel who accused the Venezuelan authorities of ''reducing'' the participation of the opposition.

Through her Twitter account, Rodríguez invited the German chancellor 'to find out about the inclusive model of the Bolivarian Revolution, and about the tragedy represented by the opposition.'

'The opposition (in Venezuela) opted for violence, vandalism and crime, instead of attending to the democratic calls,' said the foreign minister in her message on Twitter.

In the opinion of the head of Venezuelan diplomacy, statements by Angela Merkel promote opposition violence in this South American nation, shaken for two months by violent demonstrations that have left 67 people dead, more than 1,200 injured and multi-million dollar economic losses.
